Background: For those of you who are just browsing through this blog, I'm a dermatology pre-resident at Dermclinic. A few months ago, I was an OB-GYNE resident. But I quit the program since it was never really for me. Dermatology is more my line since I'm a "beauty girl". :)

New hair. I've been wanting to cut my hair short ever since my carrer shift.

VMV HAUL!!!

As some of my friends would  know, I'm a firm believer in all things hypoallergenic. That's why I am absolutely in love with this brand!! Plus, I got all of these stuff on sale!!

Makeup remover, concealer, powder, blush

This is the powder & it comes in this amazing packaging.

The back portion of the box. So clear pressed powder. Oil-absorbing, clarifying pressed powder in Croquette. All skin types. Sheer coverage. Non comedogenic. Validated hypoallergenic. 100% preservative/paraben-free

It weighs 0.42 oz or 12 grams. When you use it, it really does feel so light. Also helps a lot with the oil. I think I only re-apply it twice a day.

This is the blush. Shade's Bellini.

Like the powder, it has this cool, white, rubbery box meant for separating the blush from the brush applicator.

Actually contains a decent blush brush.

Bellini has that peachy vibe. Once you put it on, it glides on smoothly and lasts for a good 6 hours (yes, I counted)

Concealer in N1

I got excited and I wanted to tear open the box!

You may use your fingers or a small concealer brush in applying this. Personally, I just use my ring finger to dab it in usually dark areas, like under the eyes or blemishes.

Soft and swift makeup remover. This is for all skin types. What can I say? It does the job, just like any other makeup remover.

Lush, Etude House HAUL!!

Hello beauties!!

This is my first "haul" blog and I'm so excited to share with you guys what I've bought...

These are what I got from LUSH..

According to the LUSH website, "This soft white soap smelling of marzipan and fruit has people rushing in to stock up as soon as we release our Christmas stock. We’d sell this all year, but then Christmas wouldn’t be so special. Made with a fragrance of rose absolute, cassis absolute and benzoin resin."

    I got this soap bar just because of its smell. It really is heavenly & lasts long enough after your shower. It feels soft & creamy & for me, smells like almonds :)

        





              Ocean salt is another one of their best sellers. According to the site, "When you think of a sea spray on your face, you can imagine the cleaning salt, the coolness and the freshness. We have tried to capture this in Ocean Salt - but without leaving you feeling dried out and tight, like the sea is prone to doing. We have taken lashings of fine sea salt to scrub and clean and mixed it with lots of great things that will moisturise and treat the skin. For the zingy, astringent feeling we chop up organic limes and soak them in vodka overnight and then mix this with coarse sea salt and add fresh grapefruit infusion and lime essential oil. This will give you a scrubby mix that is antiseptic, takes away dead skin and tightens the skin. But we also wanted to soften the skin and leave it moisturised and supple, so we also add avocado butter, extra virgin coconut oil, lanolin, seaweed absolute and violet leaf absolute."

             Since I am on the oily side, I can use it as often as once a day. The effect is amazing since it really brightens up your face & makes your pores look smaller. I have been using it for about a month now and I can honestly say that it really lives up to its hype.

I love this pinky, girly color!! It has that perfect vibe for us working girls. Makes you look soft & feminine & you can wear it to work without causing much attention. It just makes you look made up without trying too hard.

This is a citrus scented hand lotion and it supposedly kills 99% of germs on contact!! So, of course I got it!! The packaging is sooo cute! And just because of that, I bought it.  I'm one of those people who gets sucked into that game pretty hard. 

my 1st ever blog!!!

Hello there, fellow bloggers!!! This blog is purely for my creative side and primarily for reviews and swatches of my favorite makeup and anything under the sun beauty-related.

First off, who am I? :)

I'm a doctor. I'll be starting my Dermatology residency very soon, like next week soon. I'm very excited about that since I first tried out OB-Gyne and it really didn't work out for me.

I'm a self-confessed make up addict!! My fave brands include MAC, NARS, Chanel and Shiseido. I also like local brands here in Manila, such as Etude house.
I love all things girly and pink. Yes, I'm totally a girly-girl by heart.

When I was younger, I always loved to write. Writing actually makes me express myself more. So technically, this blog is a combination of both my writing skills and my supposed "kikay" side.

Here's a glimpse of my world....

That's me, with my boyfriend, JV. A year ago, we just had our licenses after 4 years of pre-med (Biology for me, Occupational Therapy for him) and another 4 long years of Medicine. But the hard work eventually paid off. Now, we're both doctors. He plans to specialize in Internal Medicine and me in Dermatology.

 The picture above was one year ago. This is one of my more recent pics. This was during one of our events in OB, when the theme was, guess what? Royal wedding!! Can you tell from the hat? :) Loooove the pouty lips :)
